We all know that every day life is a serious business and should be taken as such. Yet, there ought to be a balance in every thing we do in life. Things shouldn’t be always taken too seriously. There should be room for humor and laughter to spice up our daily lives. There are people who can’t take a joke. Nor do they laugh at jokes.
People make mistakes but how it is handled determines if we learn from it and move on or keep living in regret. To some people, a mistake can be a stepping stone towards to self improvement while for others, it’s a life changing experience.
A South Korean professor whose two young kids gatecrashed his important interview with BBC is an example. The incident could have created a lot of arguments with his wife. He could blamed the wife for not taking care of the kids while he was on a live interview. He could have also scolded the innocent kids even if they don’t understand. Yet, they chose to laugh about it. And so the family has become an internet celebrity within a twinkle of an eye.
The important thing in life is not to dwell on a mistake. But to learn from it and move on.
I don’t mean we should be careless with our lives or responsibility. But that we should accept things which are beyond our control.
